Never disappointed with this author！ Such a sweet tender story written through the lens of three different individuals all challenged with varying life situations。 As with any other books by Catherine Ryan Hyde oh， I could not put it down until it was finished。

I have read several of Catherine Ryan Hyde’s books and have always enjoyed them， hence my decision to read SEVEN PERFECT THINGS。 First of all， the cover。 I am a sucker for puppies and the ones pictured really drew me in。。。。。。BUT…………while this book did have its moments I found the plot to be a little too formulaic。 The story， in general， had a “soap opera” redolence， the dramatic sequences were predictable and you just knew we were all heading down this particular road to the “happily ever after” I have read several of Catherine Ryan Hyde’s books and have always enjoyed them， hence my decision to read SEVEN PERFECT THINGS。 First of all， the cover。 I am a sucker for puppies and the ones pictured really drew me in。。。。。。BUT…………while this book did have its moments I found the plot to be a little too formulaic。 The story， in general， had a “soap opera” redolence， the dramatic sequences were predictable and you just knew we were all heading down this particular road to the “happily ever after” climax。 If perfect solutions and feel good endings are what you enjoy in your reading material， then look no further。。。。。。this is the book for you。 。。。more

Of course I loved this book！！！ I have loved every single book that Catherine has written。 This one was probably the most suspenseful one and it kept me up late， wondering what was going to happen next。 And of course with a story that includes dogs， how could I not love it！

Hmmm。 The other CRH books I’ve read have been some of my favorite books。 So I was excited about this one。 NO。 What a simpering bag of unbelievable Hallmark pablum。 Even the narrators were simps。 There was not a single original thought。 I did want to find out what happened so I kept reading so 3 stars for that。 But oh my I need something with more heft！

DisappointingThe final third of this book was wonderful just as all of Ms。 Hyde’s books。 However the first two-thirds were dull and a little ridiculous。 A nosy neighbor sticking his nose into someone else’s business。

This author’s books keep popping up on my “new books by authors you’ve read” list。 The premise always sounds good， and who can resist a cover with puppies？ But I always end up disappointed in how simplistic and predictable they are with cliche characters and juvenile dialogue。 Her books really seem more suited to the children’s section in my opinion。
